Band Bios

Dan Freeman
- Trombone, Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals, and Percussion



Dan has been playing trombone since high school through his military service and on into his professional music life. In the military, Dan was principal soloist in the 7th Division Band and also played successfully in the Pyramid Band where he opened for ConFunkShun.

Since the military, Dan was the trombonist of the Lazztistics R & B Group. While there, he wrote and arranged all horn parts co produced and recorded their album at the Colorado Sound Studios, and was a regular player at the Rainbow Music Hall. While with them Dan also performed in the Channel Four World Premier “Women of San Quentin”.

Dan has played at Jazz@Jacks, the Ready Room, Rods Place, Pierre’s Supper Club, and the York St. Café to name a few. Dan has played with such groups as Lazztistics, Incidentals, and Eugene Sings the Blues. Dan's current projects are with V-10 the Power Band and Just Like That.

Linda Theus-Lee
- Lead Vocals, Backup Vocals, and Percussion 



Linda Theus-Lee is a native of Los Angeles, California by way of Minden, Louisiana but has been residing in the Denver, Colorado area since 1996. She has been singing for as long as she can remember, and her passion in her music is evident with her melodic voice and rhythmic style.

Linda is first and foremost a gifted vocalist able to sing in different vocal styles from rhythm and blues, to pop variety. She is also a very talented percussionist and song writer. Linda has performed everywhere from concerts, musical theatre, piano bars, private receptions, weddings, and special school shows. Some audiences include: Denver, Colorado, Los Angeles, California, Japan, Korea, Europe, Canada and Hawaii. While traveling Europe she had the distinct pleasure of working with Lionel Hampton and his Orchestra, while being the Solo Vocalist for the Chester Whitmore’s Black Ballet Jazz.

Linda holds a Master of Social Sciences degree from the University of Colorado Denver, and loves speaking to "Youth" about the importance of taking care of them-selves, setting goals and getting their education. When asked Theus-Lee what she thought her greatest asset was she replied: “being blessed with the Song of Music in her Heart, and her faithfulness in God”. Linda’s favorite quote…" As long as you are going to be thinking anyway, think big.” Donald Trump

Oliver Hunley
- Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals, and Backup Vocals





Oliver is better known as "O".  O is one of the great lead and rythm guitar players in the Denver music scene.  To top off his superb guitar playing, O is also adding lead and backup vocals to the band.  O is a man of many voices and keeps the audience wondering how he can add so many characterizations to the tunes.

Jesse Riddick
- Bass Guitar,Background Vocals
  


Jesse, a Denver native, has slapped the strings professionally for thirty years. His low-down style includes influences such as Marcus Miller,
Stanley Clarke, and Ron Carter. Not only does Jesse have natural chops, but he also studied bass at the University of Denver and at Metro State College. Jesse has played extensively across the front range and the mountain scene in Colorado.

Ted Cole
- Wind Synth, Flute, and Background Vocals



Ted Cole has been playing in the Denver area off and on since college with such groups as Runaway Express, Tanstaafl, Barlow and Cole, Lateral Thinking, Burning Abigail, and Broken Holmes and has toured with John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on occasion. Ted has opened and performed with such musicians and groups as Doug Kershaw, Greg Allman, David Bromberg, Bob Shane(The Kingston Trio), and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Ted brings the multiple voicings of wind synth for soloing, horn section, strings, and background pads. He also brings a mix of jazz, rock, and funk flute styles to the band with melodic phrasing and percussive stylings.

Ted is currently a studio musician for Raven Records and is performing and recording with Lateral Thinking, Runaway Express, and of course V-10.

Greg McGovern
- Drums and Percussion




Originally from New Jersey, Greg moved to Dallas in 1990 and was soon involved in the local and regional music scene. While there, he played with Rock Bottom, Bat Masterson’s, Physic Surgery, and Soul Tsunami at such clubs as Memphis, Trees, and Clear View.

In 2002 Greg moved to Denver where he became involved with Ricky Earl and Sway. While playing with Sway at Herman’s Hideaway in Denver, Greg met up with the members of V-10 and soon after started his musical relationship with the band.

Greg’s musical interests cover the spectrum from country and rock, through blues and jazz, and into the world of Rhythm and Blues. His wide range of musical experiences and taste give the rhythmic foundation to the V-10 sound.
